IBM WebSphere Service Registry and Repository Cross Site Scripting


Description   Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in IBM WebSphere Service Registry and Repository, which could be exploited to conduct cross site scripting attacks. These issues are caused by input validation errors in the "/ServiceRegistry/HelpSearch.do" and "/ServiceRegistry/QueryWizardProcessStep1.do" scripts when processing the "searchTerm" and "queryItems[0].value" parameters, which could be exploited by attackers to cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the user's browser in the security context of an affected Web site.
