Novell GroupWise WebAccess Cross Site Scripting Vulnerability


Description   A vulnerability was identified in Novell GroupWise, which could be exploited by malicious users to conduct cross site scripting attacks. This flaw is due to an input validation error in the Webaccess module that does not properly filter emails containing specially crafted "IMG SRC" tags, which may be exploited by attackers to cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the user's browser.

Solution   This issue has been fixed in any build of GroupWise 6.5 webaccess dated after July 11, 2005. This fix will also be included in GroupWise 6.5 SP5.
