WordPress Better WP Security Plugin 404 Error Log Script Insertion Vulnerability


Description   NCC Group has reported a vulnerability in the Better WP Security plugin for WordPress, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion attacks.
Input passed via e.g. the URL to a nonexistent page is not properly sanitised before being used to log 404 errors. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site if malicious data is viewed.
The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 3.5.4.
