phpMyAdmin Javascript Escaping Cross Site Scripting Vulnerability


Description   A vulnerability has been identified in phpMyAdmin, which could be exploited by attackers to execute arbitrary scripting code. This issue is caused by an input validation error in the "PMA_escapeJsString()" [libraries/js_escape.lib.php] function when processing NULL bytes, which could be exploited by attackers to bypass JS filters and cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the user's browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) in the security context of an affected site.
