A weakness and multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in IBM TRIRIGA Application Platform, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct spoofing and cross-site scripting attacks and bypass certain security restrictions.
1) Certain input passed to mainpage.jsp and GetImageServlet.img is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
2) Input passed via the "out" parameter is not properly verified before being used to redirect users. This can be exploited to redirect a user to an arbitrary website e.g. when a user clicks a specially crafted link to the affected script hosted on a trusted domain.
3) The application doe not properly restrict access to images, which can be exploited to display otherwise restricted images via a specially crafted URL.
The weakness and the vulnerabilities are reported in versions 3.4.1 and prior, 3.3.2.2 and prior, and 3.2.1 and prior.
