Fedora Security Update Fixes Smarty Command Injection Vulnerability


Description   A vulnerability has been identified in Fedora, which could be exploited by attackers to compromise a vulnerable system. This issue is caused by an error in the "smarty_function_math()" [libs/plugins/function.math.php] function in Smarty when processing shell metacharacters in the equation attribute of the math function, which could allow atatckers to inject arbitrary shell commands.
