Two vulnerabilities have been identified in MIMEsweeper for Web, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary scripting code.
The first issue is due to an input validation error in the error page generated when accessing a blocked web site, which could be exploited by attackers to cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the user's browser in the security context of an affected Web site.
The second flaw is due to an error in the scanning functionality that does not properly handle certain encrypted "RAR" archives, which could be exploited by attackers to crash the Web Policy Engine service.
