MediaWiki API Pretty-printing Mode Data Handling Cross Site Scripting Issue


Description   A vulnerability has been identified in MediaWiki, which could be exploited by malicious users to execute arbitrary scripting code. This issue is caused by an input validation error in the API pretty-printing mode when processing and displaying user-supplied data, which could be exploited by attackers to cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the user's browser in the security context of an affected Web site.
