WordPress Alpine PhotoTile For Instagram "general_lightbox_params" Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability


Description   HauntIT has discovered a vulnerability in the Alpine PhotoTile For Instagram plugin for WordPress, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed via the "general_lightbox_params" POST parameter to wp-admin/options-general.php (when "page" is set to "alpine-photo-tile-for-instagram-settings" and "tab" is set to "plugin-settings") is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.2.6.5. Other versions may also be affected.
