High-Tech Bridge SA has discovered a security issue and multiple vulnerabilities in webERP, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct SQL injection attacks and by malicious people to disclose certain system information and conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
1) Input appended to the URL after e.g. index.php, doc/manual/manualcontents.php, AccountGroups.php, AccountSections.php, AddCustomerContacts.php, AddCustomerNotes.php, Areas.php, AddCustomerTypeNotes.php, AgedDebtors.php, and AgedSuppliers.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
NOTE: Other scripts may also be affected.
2) Input passed to the "reportid" parameter in reportwriter/ReportMaker.php (when "action" is set to "go") and the "ReportID" POST parameter in reportwriter/FormMaker.php (when "todo" is set to "Criteria Setup" and "FormID" is set to a valid value) is not properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
3) The application does not properly restrict access to phpinfo.php, which can be exploited to disclose certain system information.
The security issue and the vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 4.05. Prior versions may also be affected.
