ActiveCalendar Multiple Remote File Disclosure and Cross Site Scripting Vulnerabilities


Description   Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in ActiveCalendar, which could be exploited by remote attackers to disclose sensitive information or execute arbitrary scripting code.
The first issue is due to an input validation error in the "data/showcode.php" script that does not validate the "page" parameter before being passed to a "fread()" call, which could be exploited by remote attackers to disclose the contents of arbitrary files.
The second vulnerability is due to input validation errors in various scripts (e.g. "data/flatevents.php") when processing the "css" parameter, which could be exploited by attackers to cause malicious scripting code to be executed by the user's browser.
