Description
|
|
Multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in REDAXO, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and request forgery attacks.
1) The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP requests without performing proper validity checks to verify the requests. This can be exploited to e.g. change a user's password or gain escalated privileges when a logged-in administrative user visits a specially crafted web page.
2) Input passed via the "a256_media_name" GET parameter to redaxo/index.php (when "page" is set to "mediapool") is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires that the victim user has the "be_search[mediapool]" option enabled (disabled by default).
3) Input passed via the "mode" GET parameter to redaxo/index.php (when "page" is set to "structure") is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires that the victim user has the "be_search[structure]" option enabled (disabled by default).
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 4.5.0. Other versions may also be affected.
