ATutor Two Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities


Description   HauntIT has discovered two vulnerabilities in ATutor, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed via the "title" POST parameter to /mods/_standard/forums/admin/forum_add.php and via the "site_name" POST parameter to /admin/config_edit.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 2.1.1. Other versions may also be affected.
