WordPress Simple Download Button Shortcode Plugin Arbitrary File Disclosure Vulnerability


Description   Sammy Forgit has discovered a vulnerability in the Simple Download Button Shortcode plugin for WordPress, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information.
Input passed to the "file" parameter in wp-content/plugins/simple-download-button-shortcode/simple-download-button_dl.php is not properly verified before being used to display files. This can be exploited to disclose the contents of arbitrary files via directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.0.
