Python-markdown2 Image Reference and MD5 Script Injection Issues


Description   Two vulnerabilities have been identified in Python-markdown2, which could be exploited to conduct cross site scripting and script injection attacks. These issues are caused by input validation errors related to image references and the md5-hashing scheme, which could be exploited by attackers to cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the user's browser in the security context of an affected site.
