WordPress Whois Search Plugin "domain" Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Description   A vulnerability has been discovered in the Whois Search plugin for WordPress, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed to the "domain" parameter in index.php is not properly sanitised in wp-content/plugins/wordpress-whois-search/vendors/samswhois/samswhois.inc.php before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
Successful exploitation requires that the "WHOIS" widget is enabled.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.4.2.3. Other versions may also be affected.
