Eric Sesterhenn has reported multiple vulnerabilities in Free Help Desk, which can be exploited by malicious users and malicious people to conduct script insertion and SQL injection attacks.
1) Input passed via the "user_id" GET parameter to fhd_calls.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
2) Input passed via the "key" GET parameter to fhd_forgotpassword.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
3) Input passed via the email field to fhd_register_action.php is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is being viewed.
4) Input passed via the "note_body" POST parameter to fhd_add_note.php is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is being viewed.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 2.4. Other versions may also be affected.
