Drupal Panels Module Customised Layout Region Title Script Insertion Vulnerability


Description   Justin Klein Keane has reported a vulnerability in the Panels module for Drupal, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks.
Input passed to the region title when creating regions in a customised layout is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is being viewed.
Successful exploitation requires "use page manager" and "administer advanced pane settings" privileges.
The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 6.x-3.10.
