MediaWiki "uselang" Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability


Description   A vulnerability has been reported in MediaWiki, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed via the "uselang" parameter to index.php/Main_page is not properly sanitised in the "outputPage()" function in includes/SkinTemplate.php before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 1.17.5, 1.18.4, and 1.19.1.
