Cells Blog CMS Cross-Site Scripting and SQL Injection Vulnerabilities


Description   Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Cells Blog CMS, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed via the "pcid" GET parameter to user.php is not properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
2) Input passed via the "msg" GET parameter to errmsg.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in versions 3.3 and 3.4. Other versions may also be affected.
