WordPress Tweet old post Plugin "cat" SQL Injection Vulnerability


Description   A vulnerability has been discovered in the Tweet old post plugin for WordPress, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct SQL injection attacks.
Input passed via the "cat" parameter to wp-admin/admin.php (when "page" is set to "ExcludePosts" and "setFilter" is set to "Filter") is not properly sanitised in wp-content/plugins/tweet-old-post/top-excludepost.php before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation requires the "Contributor" role.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.2.5. Prior versions may also be affected.
