CTERA Cloud Storage OS Project Folder Description Script Insertion Vulnerability


Description   A vulnerability has been reported in CTERA Cloud Storage OS, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks.
Input passed related to the description field for a Project Folder is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is being viewed.
The vulnerability is reported in versions 3.2.29.0 and 3.2.42.0. Other versions may also be affected.
