Guestex Shell Command Injection and Cross Site Scripting Vulnerabilities


Description   Two vulnerabilities were identified in Guestex, which could be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands and scripting code.
The first issue is due to an input validation error in the "guestex.pl" script that does not properly validate the "mail" variable, which could be exploited by remote attackers to inject and execute arbitrary shell commands.
The second flaw is due to an input validation error in the "guestex.pl" script that fails to properly validate the "url" variable, which could be exploited by attackers to cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the user's browser in the security context of an affected Web site.
