High-Tech Bridge SA has discovered multiple vulnerabilities in Jahia xCM, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
1) Input passed via the "site" parameter to /engines/manager.jsp (when "conf" is set to "repositoryexplorer") is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
2) Input passed via the "searchString" parameter to /administration/ (when "do" is set to "users" and "sub" is set to "search") is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
3) Input passed via the "username", "manage-user-property#j:firstName", "manage-user-property#j:lastName", "manage-user-property#j:email", and "manage-user-property#j:organization" parameters to /administration/ (when "do" is set to "users" and "sub" is set to "processCreate") is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 6.6.1.0 r43343. Other versions may also be affected.
