Novell eDirectory iMonitor Error Message Cross Site Scripting Issue


Description   A vulnerability has been identified in Novell eDirectory, which could be exploited by attackers to execute arbitrary scripting code. This issue is caused by an input validation error in the HTTP stack for iMonitor when displaying error messages, which could be exploited by attackers to cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the user's browser in the security context of an affected site.

Solution   Upgrade to Novell eDirectory version 8.8.2 and apply eDir 8.8.2 ftf2.Upgrade to Novell eDirectory version 8.7.3 sp10.
