QNAP QTS "f" Directory Traversal Vulnerability


Description   A vulnerability has been reported in QNAP QTS, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose potentially sensitive information.
Input passed via the "f" GET parameter to cgi-bin/jc.cgi is not properly verified before being used to read files. This can be exploited to disclose the contents of arbitrary files via directory traversal sequences.
The vulnerability is reported in QNAP QTS 4.0.3.
